About me.

I’m Sheikh Sohel Moon — a VR Developer, Game Programmer, Unreal Authorized Instructor (UAI), and Author passionate about transforming imagination into interactive reality.


As the first Unreal Authorized Instructor in Bangladesh, I dedicate my work to empowering the next generation of creators through the Unreal Engine ecosystem bridging education, research, and real-world development. My journey blends hands-on VR innovation with teaching, showing how creativity and technical mastery can coexist in every virtual experience.


I specialize in crafting immersive worlds using Unreal Engine, combining visual storytelling, performance optimization, and gameplay mechanics into seamless experiences. I also authored “Game Development Concepts in C++: Elevate Your Skills with Unreal Engine” (Apress/Springer Nature), a comprehensive 900+ page guide that helps developers master Unreal from its foundations to advanced systems.


Currently, I lead VR development projects at StudioTEKA Design LLC (New York), where I build futuristic simulations and architectural experiences. Beyond that, I explore how AI and machine learning can evolve the future of game design and interactivity.

STUDIOTEKA DESIGN LLC

Lead Game and VR Developer | April 2022 - Present | Home Office

In my role as Lead Game and VR Developer at Studioteka Design, I take on the crucial responsibility of assigning tasks to our talented Game Development Team. This involves strategically distributing workload based on team members' strengths and project requirements to ensure efficiency and creativity throughout the development process.

Additionally, I am actively engaged in the process of integrating completed tasks into a cohesive and polished final product. This requires not only a keen eye for detail but also the ability to identify and tackle any unfinished tasks that may arise during development. My goal is to streamline the workflow and maintain high standards of quality at every stage.

Furthermore, I collaborate closely with our part-time teams specializing in 3D Design, Level Design, and Animation. This ongoing collaboration is essential for fostering a seamless and fluid development process, allowing us to bring our creative visions to life effectively and efficiently. By working together, we ensure that every element of the game or VR experience is harmoniously aligned, resulting in an engaging and immersive end product.


Appstick

Senior Game Developer | R&D Executive | December 2021 - April 2022 | Contractual | Khulna

In my role at Appstick, I was responsible for assigning tasks to the Game Development Team based on the specific requirements provided by our client. This involved not only delegating tasks but also ensuring clarity of objectives and timelines to facilitate effective workflow.

I took on the critical responsibility of integrating completed tasks into a cohesive final product, while also focusing on the timely completion of any outstanding tasks to meet project deadlines. My role required a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail throughout the development process.

Additionally, I dedicated time to teaching and mentoring the Game Development team about the Unreal Engine, aiming to enhance their skills and promote industry best practices within the team. This knowledge transfer was essential for boosting overall team performance and ensuring high standards in our game development efforts.

Furthermore, I collaborated closely with part-time teams specializing in 3D Design, Level Design, and Animation. This cross-functional teamwork was essential in maintaining a smooth and efficient development process, enabling us to refine and enhance our projects continuously. Together, we worked to create engaging and immersive gaming experiences that met and exceeded expectations.


Opus Technology Limited

Game Developer (Unreal Engine) | August 2021 - October 2021 | Dhaka

In my role as a Game Developer at Opus Technology Limited, I was responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive development strategy aimed at delivering a high-quality end product. My work involved extensive coding and documentation for various projects utilizing Unreal Engine, with a strong focus on C++ and Blueprint programming languages.

During my tenure, I had the opportunity to create engaging mini-game mechanics that included car driving simulations and survival challenges that involved navigating through obstacles. These mechanics were integral to enhancing gameplay and improving user engagement.

Collaboration was key in this role, as I worked closely with cross-functional teams, including 3D design, level design, and animation. This teamwork ensured that every phase of the development life cycle was seamless and effective, contributing to the overall success of our gaming projects.


Studio ThunderBolt

Founder & Head of Game Prototype Design | February 2018 – February 2020 | Khulna

Studio ThunderBolt was established by a group of passionate friends who shared a common dream of carving out successful careers in the dynamic Game Industry. With a vision to push the boundaries of interactive entertainment, our team set out to design and develop innovative gaming experiences.

In the early stages, our primary focus was on designing and constructing playable prototypes that showcased our creative ideas and technical expertise. This hands-on approach allowed us to explore various concepts and refine our skills in game development.

As we accumulated valuable experience and insights from our prototype designs, we expanded our offerings and began providing a comprehensive range of services tailored for the gaming industry. These services included Game Design, Development, 3D Asset creation, Level Design, and Art production, catering to the diverse needs of our clients and partners in the ever-evolving gaming landscape.

Detailing everything from collision mechanics and AI pathfinding to networking and advanced physics, this book offers a holistic approach to game development, ensuring you get the most out of your gameplay experiences. You will work on character mechanics, environmental interactions, combat systems, and visual effects, gaining a thorough understanding of how to implement these features in C++.
